Product Design Manager
  • Product designer, 7+ years

I've designed for corporate banking, a wholesale marketplace and coffee e-commerce, from solo designer to building a design team.

  • Corporate banking, today

I'm designing a new portal that brings a big bank's corporate channels into one place. It runs as a working prototype my team clicks through and comments on in Figma. I also helped build the bank's design system, now used across 6 products.

  • Teacher and mentor

100+ designers have graduated from NAP Learn. I've also done 49 mentoring sessions on ADPList, rated 4.8 by mentees, and I write about becoming a product designer from zero in my newsletter.

  • How I build with AI

I made my team an AI studio: describe a flow or attach a wireframe, and it draws the screens with the bank's real design system, ready to send to Figma. On the side I built Tanehongo, a Japanese class and quiz app, and this site.

How I use AI

I run the workflow. AI speeds up the execution.

I still own every phase of the cycle. AI takes the making: building concepts, crafting UI, checking every screen.

Work log · real numbers from my projects
  1. · POHOdays from idea to an app on my iPhone
    AI
Wrote the code for every screen
    Me
Picked the visual direction, found the issues by using it
  2. · Workflow tool at my companyseconds to copy a 23-screen flow into Figma
    AI
Built the recorder that clicks through the flow and captures every screen
    Me
Asked for it and set the rules: one board, main path plus edge cases
  3. · Workflow tool at my companyscreens checked automatically before they reach Figma
    AI
Built the checks: sizes, layers, pop-ups and arrows on every screen
    Me
Found broken screens in a real Figma paste, asked to check every flow
  4. · nap-learn.comengineers needed for this site
    AI
    Wrote the site's code
    Me
    Designed and checked every page
  5. · Tanehongodays from “revamp it” to the new site live
    AI
Built the night-themed site section by section and pushed it live
    Me
Set the direction, checked every page on my phone, said go
  6. · Workflow tool at my companyscreens (16,833 Figma layers) built in one paste
    AI
Built the Figma plugin that lays them out as a board
    Me
Tested it in real Figma, set the limit: one module per paste
What stays human
  • I decide, AI draftsAI gives me options. Choosing between them is still the design work.
  • The design is the specAI builds what I designed in Figma. It doesn't replace taste.
  • Real content, not made upAI fills empty screens with made-up numbers and quotes. I use real ones, or leave it out.
  • Verify before it shipsEvery screen is checked in a real browser before anyone sees it.

PDC is different from the workshop classes I've attended because it offers knowledge that is very practical.

You will find many frameworks and methods to improve your productivity at work. Highly recommended!

  • Sila PutriJunior Product Designer · Freelance

There were so many practical tips shared, and the insights into how things work best in the real industry were incredibly valuable. It's not a typical fundamental course, it goes beyond that by focusing on the implementation of concepts in a way that allows us to excel as product designers.

PDC was absolutely amazing! The sessions were well-structured and the materials provided were top-notch. This program is a must for anyone looking to enhance their skills in the product design industry.

Kak Galuh is a very down-to-earth guy with his iconic "ya ges ya" that would make you feel comfortable to learn new things! His materials never once miss and he makes sure to cover everything he knew, taking from his very-diverse experiences. If I were to turn back time, I would take this class again. Thank you so much for the priceless experience. I hope a ton will take this class!

PDC is your go-to series of classes if you’re working as a sole designer like me. You’ll learn things you might not have gone through before, like ideation workshop, and it will encourage you to apply them in your work and learn more after this series ends! Kak Galuh is a true realistic, humble guy who understands his game very well. Take this class, it’s such a steal.

So much confusion I faced at the first time jumps to the real work as a junior product designer in early stage start-up. Then it's such a blessing can find PDC program and be part of it!! Mas Galuh with this program completely help me to tackle my problem and confusion. This program provided invaluable insights and opened my eyes to how product designers can thrive, even in limited conditions from the company.

If you are a junior or solo product designer with much confusion about your work, I wholeheartedly recommend the PDC Program. You really can ask all the questions your heart desires and engage in inclusive discussions that will transform the way you approach your work!
